In a world of rushers, is slowing down weak?

No. In fact, it might be the most badass and beneficial thing you can do.

This isn’t about being a lost little turtle. It’s about returning to the speed of life. (Yes, that is a thing).

Most of us are in a rush and then wonder why life seems to be passing us by.

You don’t squeeze more in by rushing. You end up losing time because rushing makes you less effective. You’re rushing to a grave that ironically comes sooner.

Here are things you can do to demonstrate the power of slowing down:

Talk slower.

Most people rush their speech out of insecurity.

Slowing down calms you while allowing you to process your words more effectively. It also makes others want to listen more, not less.

Take longer walks.

Ever since I started dedicating at least an hour to walking each day, I’ve become less overwhelmed and more productive.

Longer walks are obviously healthy, but they also create longer windows of present awareness, which is becoming vital in a stimulating modern age.
