A brief introduction to moving out of a slump and into a motivated state in less than 2 hours

I hate feeling stuck.
It's like treading water; there's nothing to hold on to. You just feel like letting go and succumbing to the dark, cold water beneath.
But I've learned there's a lot we can do to relocate the spark that once flickered bright and alive.
Here are some ideas:
Dissolve your past.
One of your greatest obstacles to energy, power and joy is your past.
At least — your thinking that a past exists. It doesn't.
Your past need not have an ounce to do with your present actions.
Make the distinction.
Locate your balls, and go rogue. Become wild and be dead to your past.
Invite challenge.
A comfortable life is an effective incubator for feelings of stuckness. You may need a challenge again.
Don't wait for it. Create it. What can you do in the next thirty days to test your limits?
If it makes you a little nervous, that's good. Go there.
Reconnect with a bunch of people who haven't heard from you in a while.
Even just one makes a difference.
Most emotional management is about nurturing your relationships.
If they've been neglected, your mood will lift when you take concerted action to rekindle your connections with those you know.
Create a better system.
Whether we realise it or not, we've all created the perfect system for how things are for us.
If you want more friends, what system must you follow to bring more friendships into your life? There is always a system that works.
Figure out your objectives, and then design a system that aligns with those objectives.
Speak to your inner dragon.
I say this over and over because the little fucker never deserved such neglect. Your little bro is snoozing in the dark recess of your mind and wants to be revived.
All it takes is a mindful moment.
Find the part of you yearning for adventure and ruckus.
You're likely in a slump because you keep buying into the societal nonsense that says life is about safety and comfort. Yawn. Wake him up.
Brainstorm everything you can think of that drains your energy and what adds to it.
Such an exercise creates awareness and a simple distinction between the two.
For example, we can be unconscious of how much energy we lose through poor habits. This makes it conscious.
Often, this is all you need to see why you got off at the wrong stop.
Go on a 'stretch' adventure.
Adventures clear the mind, introduce you to novel environments and challenge you.
A stretch adventure goes beyond walking in a new part of town or visiting a new city. It's a stretch. Book something in that pushes you a little further. Join a hiking group. Ride a motorbike across the country. Go camping if you usually don't.
A good adventure challenges your mind, body and soul. You can't see things the same when you test yourself like this.
Obviously, you'll need more than two hours, but by planning it, you set your responsibility-taking self in motion.
Ask for help.
Find someone you trust and be honest about your situation.
If you're stuck, tell them. Most people will happily agree to sit down with you to talk, which is often all you need to set you free again.
Talking to someone about your challenges directly rather than allowing your thoughts to bounce around all day is cathartic.
