This frame of mind is vital in today’s divided world, where we all have been assaulted by the powers that be, constantly villainizing ‘the other’, and provoking discord amongst our own communities. We must understand ourselves and overcome the fears and resentment we were gaslit into internalizing in the name of power and control. Thank you.
Absolutely agree: compassion is the bedrock of any true humanity — the quiet strength that holds us together.
And yet, like all precious things, it needs a little wisdom to stay whole.
Compassion without boundaries can sometimes turn into endless justification — especially when it tries to excuse harm too long in the name of understanding.
Real compassion doesn’t erase the need for healthy limits — it invites them.
And sometimes... the harshest words or actions hide a silent ache behind them.
A cashier moving slowly after surgery. A father snapping because of a migraine.
When we imagine the invisible battles others are fighting, empathy becomes not just an act of kindness — but a way of seeing the world more clearly!
Very good points! Thank you!!
thanks Charles!
