I am 40 too. I was working in Finance for 16 years. I built my currency, grew & made enough money. Now as a writer/creator I am a newbie. It's like I am starting a career as a 24 year old. It's difficult.

Yes I know exactly what you are saying.

The internet is not transparent - it’s like stepping through a maze with limited information, confused information, sometimes blindfolded, sometimes with just blinkers on, without a map to know where in the maze we are?

We are all being herded into groups, for world wide categorisation. I am not smart enough to use it to my advantage. I feel fear and anxiety which makes me nervous and worried. I want to find real connections but it feels superficial and untrustworthy out there. We are used to meeting people to have the intuitive guide and gut feeling as to what they are truly like.

If I harness in these negative feelings, and pull back my sincerity, and keep to the superficial narrative, it doesn’t feel as bad. It can be randomly entertaining and interesting and informative.

We are all part of this big change in the world and we can all choose to take part. You do Alex and I like your fresh, clear style. Your ‘angle’ on matters of the mind is refreshing and informative and very reassuring. It deserves to be read by millions as it will help so many. I hope I can find a way too.

Words could not express how perfectly this post summarizes how I'm feeling right now.

I love how you reframed the emotions.

Thank you for taking the time to write this. It's made a huge difference in my perspective.

I’m torn. I want you to take care of yourself In whatever way is best for you. The horrible part of me (I lie about to people) doesn’t want to see less of your posts or videos.

You know how many people you help and inspire. I believe that should be your yardstick not other comparisons. We all do it ( compare, I mean). I’ve just been comparing myself to some other women and feeling lower than a snake’s belly right now.

You know what to do.

Self care. Put the oxygen mask on yourself before assisting others.

But please remember that you are unique and many others in your area of work lack your authenticity and rawness. If you need to pull back in terms of time, please try to maintain that. If you can of course. There’s only one Alex.

Kindest regards

Linda xx
