The inner self is like a child afraid of darkness or a puppy running away from loud noises. It needs a bit of love to show that whatever happens, rejection or failure, it doesn't change who the inner self is and is still loved.
Thank you for this. Our fear of rejection often runs very deep though, most commonly from childhood. Doesn’t even have to have been a traumatic childhood. Unavailable parents, busy parents, maybe not being listened to as a child. This is easier said than done even though we - logically - know that this advice must be right. We are all works-in-progress. 🙏🏼
