I’m continually drawn to the idea of creating a community here that goes beyond the newsletter into live meetings and a general discussion board, perhaps on Discord for more active cross-support.
I’m constantly being thanked for how my writing (and 1-2-1 coaching) is helping people, but I’m also open to taking this to group coaching so that these effects are deepened.
I’m thinking 2-3 x 90 minute calls each month set up to raise questions in the group that I can help with via live discussion and coaching. During these online calls, we can do some relaxation exercises, then a handful of people can ask their question and I coach through to the solution, or we could discuss a recent article, or even do some live interviews.
We do this in a way, not only to serve the question-asker, but so that the entire group benefits, and we lift each other up through our challenges as the year progresses.
The aim of this community would be to help you overcome various life and business-challenges, while handling stress, anxiety, creating better habits together, and boosting performance.
I will bring my style to this, which doesn’t always sugarcoat things, unlike many other gurus and coaches.
The focus would be on mastering the mind and personal productivity. This would be aimed at entrepreneurs, creators and leaders, though all are welcome.
There would be a yearly cost associated with this membership at a higher tier-level.
I’m close to making this happen, but open to hearing any thoughts from you guys on the idea, and what you might like to see in a community of this kind.
What would make you really want to join this?
What would make you resistant to join this membership?
Do share below whether this interests you and if you have any other thoughts on the idea!
Think this an awesome idea, for me it depends on the cost #OnABudget but I would still consider it. The value for me would be that style of yours for sure!
I agree no free for all . Encourage deep listening and sharing from heart.
There is another decision you need to make .
Is the group to be open as a drop in or closed?
Both have advantages and disadvantages.
A closed group will lead to greater trust between participants and an open group will allow people to drop in or out as their personal circumstances dictate. good luck robert
I think that your tweets, articles, and books are so forthright that I don't need to discuss them. I either put them into practice or discard them. They also cover so many topics that I almost don't need to ask questions.
For now I value more products/services that teach me to do something specific. But I'm sure that many of your followers would join this community!
helpful, Rubi - thanks! I'll be developing support around more specific things too. The intention behind this group is to create a sense of community around whatever we're building, so we support each other to reach our goals, with less doubt and resistance.
I think it a good idea but perhaps restrict it to 2 meetings a month. Say "the first and third Wednesdays in each month". Don't assume that you will be the fountain of all knowledge as others may also have wisdom to share . Set up the meeting in such a way as to provide participants with an opportunity to respond to questions and talk from their own experience. The experience will be all the richer as a result. Perhaps do some more work on how the meetings will be structured and then float your proposals out so you can have regard to observations received . Good luck. Robert
great thoughts, Robert - appreciate it. The approach will definitely allow for breathing space to evolve, based on the experience of participants. It's a group effort for common good, but at the same time I can't allow it to be an unfocused general discussion. This has happened before and it's lost direction.
It is a good idea to learn as well as Share and help others. I would also like to be a volunteer to help anyone , as per my ability . However , I do not expect to be paid , nor would I like to pay.
I’m not sure that’s viable! Alex is offering valuable coaching. It’s not reasonable to expect freebies nor to offer your input to offset payment. You’re obviously kind and well meaning but Alex has to earn a living. 💐
Dear Alex, we anticipate the same question(s) with our startup (knowledge sharing platform). To my knowledge decision criteria are split mainly between the price and the content/topics. Also people need to try out before they hit a paywall.
this is very helpful Milena, thank you! I anticipate giving out free single-session access to try it out. Keep me posted about your progress on your own project too.
I agree, but sometimes it must not be the self experience but at least have some recording or documentation (with consent of coachee), so the person can get a feeling... Otherwise it is hard to judge if price matches service.

thanks Louise! will keep you posted on the development of this...
Would be interested depending on the cost. Would also be happy to jump in and help get it off the ground where I can.
appreciate that Dean
Hell yeah Alex
I'm in.
I would love to join, frequency maybe biweekly...and the cost might be an issue, depending on your decision on that part.
Thanks Tatjana, what would you be looking for help with more than anything at this point?

thanks Robert. That's something I am considering right now. Appreciate the support

I support this idea. It would be a good way to more meaningfully engage with your international followers as well.
Thanks Sheldon
This'll definitely benefit the community
I love the idea. Your writing and drawing helps my life as a history and leadership teacher but analyzing and reflecting on my life.
Thanks Patrick!

Lots of interest, Alex.😄
excellent bro
It seems a great way to create a lively community of like-minded people.
I would be interested to know more about the time(s) and price.
I will keep you in the loop, Alexandra!
Smart approach. I’m interested in seeing how this develops.
will keep you posted Jack
Interesting, would like to but sorry it does depend on the cost for me too!
Yes, would love it and need it.
great idea!
I'd love to be a part of the community!
Being in a group of like-minded people makes me really want to join. And to make new friends, hopefully.
High cost could make me resistant to join this membership.
I would be very interested in this. I like your style and would be very interested in having you as a coach. Please keep me in the loop!
Thanks Greg! Will do

no worries, thanks Linda, Dipak's feedback is helpful. I'm sure he wasn't expecting this to be free :).
Oh sorry I spoke out of turn. I apologise ❤️❤️❤️
For sure!
excellent brother!
I really like this idea. Let's all make it happen!
Jim Brazil
thanks Jim!
Count me in!
Sounds good!
I would love to be a part of the group “Community Coaching” Vern Dant
Amazing idea, would love to join.

yes, I can launch to those with most interest first, then share the recording to later potential members.
Yeeeeesss - cautious. Not sure how my gender would fit in this model. You know I’m a massive fan though.
great - this is Untethered Mind, not 'Man' therefore aimed for all!
My mind is often tethered. Bring on the scissors. 👱♀️🤷♀️
This is a light hearted comment- will I be safe lol!
